Louise Chatters: November

Ahhh, it’s November which means we can start getting ready for Christmas! I absolutely love this time of year. It fills me with so much excitement and joy. I pretty much did all my Christmas shopping at the beginning of the month so I can have the whole of December to relax and have fun with friends and family!

Michael and I went to see Murder on the Orient Express and it was honestly fantastic! I absolutely love crime/thrillers so I knew I’d love it just from the trailer. I hadn’t seen the original but now I quite fancy watching it. It was so so funny, I just love Hercule Poirot.

On Bonfire Night, I met up with some friends form uni and it was so great to have a catch up. Always laugh hysterically when I’m with them.

I went to see Little Mix with Karina and oh my goodness, it was hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to. We all felt so empowered afterwards and it was such an entertaining show. I would definitely go and see them again!

Towards the end of the month, I went to Michael’s squadron’s annual dinner dance which was super fun. It’s such a good night and I love having to get all dressed up and getting my hair and nails done.

Michael and I went down to England for a week as he had a two day course and asked me to come along with him. I spent the first day exploring Grimsby (which didn’t take long) and then I got the train to Lincoln on the second day. Lincoln is absolutely beautiful and I loved the contrast of the busy high street shopping and the quiet and quaint old town. It was such a pretty place and I will definitely be returning.

Towards the end of our week away, we travelled up to York where we spent two days. I was not feeling festive at all until we went to York. What a magical place. We went to York Minster, Jorvick Viking Museum and the National Railway Museum. We also spent a lot of our time wandering the little streets and Christmas markets and I had totally fallen in love with the place after only a few hours!

Therapy was quite a struggle this month. I have never been emotional during any sessions but there was one in particular that left me very emotional. It was because of a big realisation and I know it’s good to be in touch with your emotions but it left me feeling exhausted and uncomfortable.

What a busy month! I feel like I’m in such a good place at the moment which makes me super happy! What have you been up to this month?

Much love,

Louise

I hope therapy will be a little less of a struggle next month (even though therapy is always a struggle in my opinion).
